Children's Privacy Notice

Effective July 13, 2026. This notice supplements our Privacy Policy.

Who may create an account

A person who is 13 or older may create their own account. Students under 13 may not use self-service registration. A parent or guardian may create their own adult account, but that adult account does not by itself create a child account or constitute verified parental consent. Access for a child under 13 must be provisioned only after AdaptSHSAT completes an approved parent, guardian, school, or educational-organization authorization process. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Information used for learning

AdaptSHSAT may process account details, grade level, target schools and scores, answers, practice history, timing, mistake patterns, tutor notes, assignments, and progress reports. We use this information to provide practice, diagnose learning needs, calculate progress, and support students, families, tutors, and authorized educational organizations.

What we do not do

We do not sell children's personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or allow children's information to be used for unrelated marketing. Access is limited according to account role and educational relationship.

Parent and guardian choices

A parent or guardian may ask to review, correct, export, or delete a child's personal information, or withdraw consent. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an authorized school relationship.

Contact us

For a children's privacy request, email [email protected] with the subject “Children's Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and relationship to the student before completing the request.

Data retention for children

We retain a child's personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the educational Services. When a parent or guardian requests deletion, or when an account is inactive for an extended period, we remove or anonymize the child's personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for the safety and security of the platform.

Changes to this notice

If we make material changes to how we collect or use children's personal information, we will provide notice to parents and guardians and obtain any additional consent required by law before applying the changes.
