This is cognitive training, not a question bank.
Every year, roughly 26,000 eighth graders in New York City take the SHSAT. One test. One sitting. The score determines whether they attend Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech, or none of the specialized schools at all.
Some of us went through that exact process and ended up at Stuyvesant and Bronx Science ourselves. We know what it feels like to hit a question type you've never seen before with the clock running, and to walk out unsure whether the gap was in your math or in your nerves. That experience is part of why this exists.
Families who can afford it spend $3,000 to $10,000 on private tutoring. What they're really paying for isn't more questions. It's diagnosis: a tutor who can tell you not just that you got it wrong, but why, and what to do differently next time.
We built AdaptSHSAT to make that diagnosis available to everyone. Not a tutor's intuition, but the same underlying logic, run automatically: find the specific reasoning error, not just the topic. Fix that error directly. Confirm it's actually fixed before moving on.
Every session makes the next one more targeted. That's the whole method.
